About Our Efforts
In 2016, UC Davis Graduate Studies embarked on a six-month strategic planning process to guide the department’s activities and growth over a three-year period. Four priorities emerged, which together promote an inclusive, diverse environment and a culture of communication, respect, support and academic excellence. The resulting document, Envisioning Excellence: UC Davis 2016-2019 Strategic Plan, guided the division’s activities, initiatives, and investments.
A task force was formed to develop a new plan in Fall 2019, but efforts were paused in mid-2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The next era of Graduate Studies’ history will be defined by recovery, growth, and new solutions, and our community must reconvene to map out the path forward. Building upon the efforts of the previous task force, this newly-formed committee is charged with developing a five-year strategic plan (2021-2026) for Graduate Studies that outlines the division's strategic actions and priorities.
