Commencement Information for Students

Eligibility Requirements

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Spring 2020, students who filed to graduate (FG) or had a degree awarded (DA) were only able to participate in a virtual Commencement Celebration. Graduate Studies would like to invite these individuals to celebrate their accomplishments at an in-person ceremony on December 9, 2021.

Students eligible to participate in the December ceremony:

  • Degree Awarded (DA): September 1, 2019 - June 10, 2021
  • Filed to Graduate (FG): June 11, 2021 - September 10, 2021

If you Filed to Graduate after September 10, 2021, you will be eligible to participate in the Spring 2022 commencement ceremony in June 2022.

Please note, Graduate Studies is planning the event in accordance with the Campus Ready guidance. Should public health conditions shift, we will cancel the event and provide as much notice as possible to everyone. There will not be a virtual option, but you will be invited to the Spring 2022 Commencement Ceremony.
