Eligibility Requirements
Graduate Studies Commencement is held annually in June to celebrate students who complete their degrees during the academic year.
Registration is now closed for the 2022 ceremony. Please check back in February 2023 for information about the 2023 Spring ceremony.
Students eligible to participate in the June ceremony if:
- You Advanced to Candidacy.
- Candidacy Applications must be submitted to Graduate Studies by April 8.
OR
- Candidacy Applications must be submitted to Graduate Studies by April 8.
- You were filed to graduate between Sept. 10, 2021 - March 18, 2022.
Additionally, if your degree was awarded in 2020 or 2021 and you were unable to attend commencement due to COVID-19, you are eligible to register for the 2022 commencement ceremony on June 9.
Graduate Studies does not host a Fall Commencement Ceremony. The June 9 ceremony will not have a virtual option, however, the ceremony will be lived streamed.
Please note, Graduate Studies is planning the event in accordance with the Campus Ready guidance. Should public health conditions shift, we will cancel the event and provide as much notice as possible to everyone.

Guest Tickets
All registered students will receive up to (4) guest tickets to attend the in-person ceremony. Ticket registration information was sent in the student confirmation email. Guest tickets are managed by the Aggie Ticket Box Office.
Special Requests or Accommodations
If you are a graduating student and require special accommodations, please notify us as soon as possible by stating your need in the request under the "Special Needs" section of your commencement registration. Two months' notice is needed for a sign language interpreter or if you need assistance crossing the stage. We are able to offer accommodations to students only. Please visit the Student Disability Center for further information.
A portion of Lot 25 is reserved and free of charge for vehicles displaying DMV-issued Disabled Person Parking Placards and Plates. Guests with mobility challenges may use the shuttle service when in service, to travel to and from parking lots.
