Building upon the efforts of previous committees and workgroups, our strategic planning task force was charged with developing a five-year strategic plan (2021-2026) for Graduate Studies that outlines the division's strategic actions and priorities. The plan will guide Graduate Studies staff and inform division and campus leadership on investments and decisions for graduate education in the coming years. The plan aims to provide a clear understanding of:

Throughout the development of this new plan, we have worked collaboratively, and engaged with students, postdoctoral scholars, faculty, staff, and organizations across the University. Their perspectives have helped the task force develop and create a set of priorities that position UC Davis Graduate Studies to best support graduate students and postdoctoral scholars in a rapidly changing environment.

As we move toward the implementation of a new strategic plan, your expertise, commitment, and immersive engagement are imperative to our collective success.

Our Strategic Pillars

The 2021-2026 Strategic Plan is organized under four strategic pillars that represent critical areas of interest for Graduate Studies. Each pillar is comprised of a number of goals which are, in turn, supported by a variety of activities, initiatives and operational functions determined by our implementation groups.
