The UC Davis Graduate Studies Advisory Board was created in 2020. Its mission is to promote the strategic vision of UC Davis Graduate Studies and enhance public awareness of the societal benefits and global impact of the UC Davis graduate education community.
The Advisory Board assists the Dean in establishing and maintaining the highest quality learning experiences for graduate and postdoctoral students at UC Davis. The Advisory Board focuses on the following priority areas:
- Providing guidance on professional development and internship initiatives implemented by Graduate Studies, and building or strengthening relationships with academics, industry and government leaders in that pursuit;
- Assisting efforts to increase alumni engagement and further expand mentorship opportunities for graduate students and alumni;
- Developing strategies to increase philanthropic support;
- Supporting programs that foster a sense of belonging and community.
