How To Join the UC Davis Graduate/Professional Housing Facebook Group

These instructions have been updated in February 2021 to reflect changes in the group membership request process.

Instructions

Please note that the UC Davis Housing--Grad/Professional Students group is a student-run Facebook group and that UC Davis Graduate Studies is not administrator. If you still have trouble accessing the group after following all the instructions below, please contact the UC Davis Housing--Grad/Professional Students group administrator.

Do not contact them unless you’ve completed the instructions below and waited at least 24 hours for each request to be approved. Remember - they’re managing these groups out of the goodness of their hearts!

Before you join the group you must complete the following steps.

  1. Set up a computing account and acquire a UC Davis email address. Get started by visiting the computing account set-up website.

  2. Once you have a UC Davis email address, request to join the UC Davis Housing--Grad/Professional Students group.

  3. Answer all the membership questions - including the question that asks for your email. You will not be permitted to join unless you answer all the questions. If you’re having trouble getting an email address, explain the issue in your answer. For example, you might say “I’ve been admitted to the Neuroscience Graduate Group, but I do not have my UC Davis email yet.”

The administrators will approve you as soon as they can. If still no luck after another day, send the UC Davis Housing group administrators a message. Please allow at least 24 hours for your request to join to be approved before private messaging an administrator.
