Now more than ever, it’s important for graduate programs to create an online presence that enables faculty and staff to forge connections with potential graduate students.
The Digital Graduate Recruitment Series is a track series that builds on the Graduate Education Certificate Series workshop Digital Recruitment: Engaging Prospective Graduate Students Through Web, Email and Social Media. In this series, attendees collaborate with graduate programs and campus experts to explore concepts in graduate enrollment and digital recruitment. Each 3-hour workshop examines principles in marketing, including content writing for websites, email and social media, targeting diverse graduate student applicants, integrating social media platforms, exploring online data analytics, building inquiry funnels, and connecting online resources to events and marketing materials.

A program’s website and social media profiles are often a prospective student’s first glimpse at academic and social life at UC Davis. In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn about tested digital marketing strategies and develop skills to improve their program’s website, email, and social media recruitment messaging for diverse prospective student audiences.
