Employment Opportunities for UC Davis Graduate Students

UC Davis offers several types of employment to graduate students providing financial support and exciting professional experiences in addition to opportunities for career development. Students earn a salary and, depending on the type of employment, may have all or part of their fees paid as a benefit. In addition, students in qualifying appointments may be eligible to receive child care reimbursement. Explore the pages listed below to learn more about student employment.

Looking for a position? Check out Handshake, hosted by the Internship and Career Center. Handshake is where UC Davis students and alumni connect with employers. Over 100 internships and jobs, both on and off campus, are posted every day. Whether you’re looking for a teaching or research appointment or your post-graduation career, Handshake can help. However, students are usually employed by the department or school, so make sure inquire with your academic program about employment opportunities.

If you need help with a specific employment issue and cannot find the information you need on our website, contact Graduate Studies by emailing or explore resources on our Help and Support page.
