Students gain advanced knowledge of integrating scientific findings into their nursing practice; evidence-based and person-centered care; cultural humility; influencing policy that promotes equity in health care; informatics; effective communication and collaboration skills; effective leadership; population-based health promotion; community health; public health; gerontology; rural health; and health disparities. Students graduate with qualitative and quantitative skills necessary to serve as a registered nurse.
