Public Scholars for the Future Fellowship Empowers Doctoral Students to Pursue Community-Engaged Work

UC Davis Public Scholarship and Engagement has announced nine graduate students have joined the second cohort of its Public Scholars for the Future fellowship program. The fellowship program, which launched in Spring 2022 in partnership with Graduate Studies, provides scholars with the resources and support to integrate community-centered theories, methods and techniques into their disciplinary field of study, research design and methods. 

These students include:

  • Mei Blundell - Population Biology
  • Robin Boparai - Epidemiology 
  • Lupe Franco - Geography 
  • Alyson Kim - Civil and Environmental Engineering 
  • Aron King - Nursing 
  • Jadda Miller - Science and Agricultural Education 
  • Maritza Miramontes - Psychology 
  • Dan Paz - Cultural Studies
  • Tara Pozzi – Ecology
