About the Program
Learn More About the Program
The demand for newly trained accountants is vast. More than 2,000 new accounting graduates are hired by private companies each year in California alone. The State of California hires several hundred new accountants annually across its various divisions (Franchise Tax Board, State Board of Equalization, CalPERS, CalSTRS). Through this program, students gain advanced knowledge of the responsibilities and ethics in the accounting profession, as well as an understanding of the accountancy standards that apply to U.S., international and publicly traded firms as necessary for CPA licensure.
