Workshop 1: Copyright and Your Dissertation/Thesis

Please join Michael Ladisch, Scholarly Communication Officer at UC Davis Library, for one of the Copyright and Your Dissertation/Thesis workshop. You will learn the fundamentals of the U.S. Copyright Law and how it may affect your dissertation or thesis. The workshop will take a deeper dive into the Fair Use doctrine to help you determine what materials may be used without obtaining permission. It will also cover your rights as an author, along with embargo and open access policies.
