New graduate students at UC Davis are invited to attend the Holistic U (formerly Graduate Diversity Orientation Program, GDOP) on September 13 and 14 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Holistic U will engage students committed to diversity by focusing on a holistic approach to,
- one’s graduate experience for themselves (You),
- one’s communities (Us) and the
- University environment applied to equity, inclusion and diversity.
We will learn and explore diversity through data, privilege, unconscious bias and self-care; understand and identify the value of community and resources; and begin to learn and apply equity, inclusion and diversity to our University community.
Due to limited space one must apply for Holistic U to participate. Applicants will receive confirmation by September 1, 2018.
For more information about Holistic U, contact Josephine Moreno, Diversity Officer for the Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, and Education.
