UC Davis and Graduate Studies are pleased to announce the Grand Opening of the new Graduate Center at Historic Walker Hall. Please join us to celebrate this much-awaited grand opening ceremony. The Graduate Center supports the academic, professional, and personal success of the graduate student and postdoctoral scholar community at UC Davis. The first of its kind at the University of California, the center is intentionally designed to promote interdisciplinary interactions and build a community for UC Davis’ 7,000 graduate and professional students and nearly 1,000 postdoctoral scholars.

Event Details:

Graduate Studies will host a grand opening with welcome remarks, ceremonial bell ringing, and a light reception on April 8 on the North Lawn of Walker Hall. Self-guided tours of the Graduate Center will be open to the public after the ceremony. Specific details will be announced in mid-March.

COVID-19 Policy:

This event will require proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test result for admittance. Visitors are required to complete a Daily Symptom Survey prior to entering facilities on campus. Face coverings are required indoors for everyone, regardless of vaccination status. Should public health conditions shift, we will cancel the event and provide as much notice as possible to everyone.
