Ever wonder how to best explain your science outside of the academic world? Getting bogged down in big terms when writing an abstract or paper to a wide community? You should attend the "Translating Your Science" Panel and Workshop. Experts at communicating science to politicians, the media, and public school students will be in Davis for a panel discussion (open to all) on April 27 from 10 to Noon. Following the panel discussion a workshop (application necessary -- https://goo.gl/forms/psdcoWOA7VispIv03) will allow students and post-docs to polish their elevator speech with input from the same experts in the panel. Workshop includes free lunch for attendees!
