This workshop is designed for graduate students, postdocs, and professional scientists who are looking for strategies to communicate their work to a broader audience. Topics covered will include: •Defining a “public” audience •Undergraduate classroom and teaching strategies •Academic vs. “popular” science writing •Research translation •NSF’s Broader Impacts criterion The workshop will provide a general overview of, and attendees are encouraged to bring questions about their own current projects.
