Keeping students engaged has massive benefits. Research has shown that ‘active learning’ increases students’ learning, retention, and performance, and is particularly beneficial for students from underrepresented groups. This interactive workshop focuses on active learning strategies, and participants will practice designing activities they can implement in their classrooms right away. Build your repertoire of teaching skills, and take the guesswork out of getting your students involved in their own learning.
