Have you been asked to write a literature review but don't know how to get started? Are you already working on a review but wondering how to develop the synthesis? Designed for graduate students early in the literature review process, this workshop will help answer these questions and get you on track to a great literature review. We'll discuss what a literature review is and why they're important for your academic and professional careers. We'll also focus on tools and activities to help compare studies and show how they interact. The workshop will include presentation, practice, and discussion.
Workshop Leader: Amy Goodman-Bide is a lecturer in the University Writing Program and a consultant for the UC Davis Writing Across the Curriculum Program. She earned a B.A. in French Language & Literature from Whitman College and an M.A. in Second Language Studies from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
