Event Category:

Course-based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE)

Are you looking for a chance to inspire motivated and engaged undergraduates in a small class environment?
Could a team of trained undergraduates contribute to your research, scholarship, or creative activity?
Would you like the opportunity to develop and practice innovative pedagogical strategies that will prepare you for a career in higher education?

If even one of the questions above has piqued your interest, developing a CURE may be an ideal place for you to channel your creative and professional energy.

The First-Year Seminars (FYS) program invites all graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and staff to learn more about FYS - Course-based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) seminars and consider whether this unique, funded teaching opportunity might be a rewarding experience for you as you expand your professional skillsets. Representatives from FYS-CURE and the Center for Educational Effectiveness' (CEE) Teaching Assistant Consulting program will share information on the curricular design and teaching resources available to potential instructors.
