The Prepared Professor

Wade Zeno, Ph.D. ’16 always knew he wanted to be a professor — to have his own research lab and to teach. Ever since he was a child, Zeno has enjoyed the classroom setting and as an undergraduate student, he often worked as a tutor, which only solidified his desire to pursue a career in academia.

But then, as he progressed his academic career toward obtaining a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, Zeno began to realize something was missing from his academic career.

Four UC Davis Graduate Students Awarded American Association of University Women Fellowships

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) has awarded 2021-22 fellowships to four scholars at the University of California, Davis. Recipients will pursue academic work and lead innovative community projects to empower women and girls.
 
•    Sarah Biscarra Dilley, an American Fellowship, is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Native American and Indigenous Studies, Critical Gender Studies, Visual Arts, Geography, and History.

UC Davis Graduate Student Virtual Exhibition Showcases Work Across the Arts and Humanities

The annual exhibition by UC Davis arts and humanities graduate students will showcase works across the disciplines of art, design, music, creative writing, Native American studies, English, Spanish and French. The exhibition is hosted by the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art and can be viewed June 10 through Sept. 6 on the museum’s website.
