UC Davis Launches New Graduate Degree Programs for Fall 2017

The University of California has granted formal approval to the University of California, Davis, to begin offering graduate degrees in three new areas of study.

The new programs, which span several departments across campus, aim to train graduate students at UC Davis in the emerging areas of big data, environmental policy, and the energy sciences.

Strategic Student Recruitment Funds

The purpose of the Strategic Student Recruitment Funds is to support recruitment efforts beyond the program level. In response to the final report, the chancellor and other senior leaders outlined a plan for the Orchard Park Redevelopment in the Orchard Park Redevelopment Status Report.  The status report responded to the student priorities articulated in the Student Family Housing Redevelopment Committee’s final report. 

Graduate Studies Awards $10,000 Fellowships to Faculty Mentors

Five UC Davis professors from a broad range of disciplines - including Chemistry, Anthropology, and Linguistics - have been selected to receive 2016-2017 Mentoring at Critical Transitions (MCT) Fellowships.


Funded by generous support from the Wakeham fund, the $10,000 award will provide support for one or more of the recipients’ graduate student mentees. The 2016-2017 Mentoring at Critical Transitions Fellowship recipients include:
